All Inspections

During an assessment under our new approach

We carried out this announced on-site inspection on 2 March 2026.

We found the practice had met regulations.

The practice had effective systems to identify and manage risks, including infection prevention and control.

Staff had the skills, knowledge and experience to carry out their roles.

Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation and there was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement.

Staff provided care and treatment in line with current guidance. They treated patients with dignity and respect and ensured access to care, support, and treatment when required.

The practice is in Wollaton, Nottingham and provides NHS and private dental care and treatment for adults and children.

There was step-free access to the practice and car parking spaces available, including dedicated parking for disabled people, near the practice.

The practice had 2 treatment rooms. At the time of our inspection, there was a total of 7 staff, of which there were 2 dentists, 3 dental nurses, 1 dental therapist and the practice manager. We gathered feedback from staff and spoke to a range of staff during our inspection, including 1 dentist, 2 dental nurses and the practice manager.

During a routine inspection

We spoke with four patients. They told us staff treated them with dignity and respect. One patient said, 'The way the dentist greets you is very welcoming.' We found that patients expressed their views and were involved in making decisions about their care and treatment.

Patients told us they were very happy with the care and treatment they had received. One patient said, 'I also feel we always get the best in terms of treatment and advice.' We found that care and treatment was planned and delivered in a way that was intended to ensure patients' safety and welfare.

Patients told us they felt the premises were kept clean. One patient said, 'I think it's brilliant, excellent.' We found there were effective systems in place to reduce the risk and spread of infection.

Patients told us they felt staff knew what they were doing when caring for them. One patient said, "He [the dentist] knows completely what he's doing.' We found staff received appropriate professional development.

We found that systems were in place for seeking the views of patients. We also found that the provider assessed and monitored the quality of service that patients received.
