Our view of the service

We carried out an onsite inspection of Swadlincote Station on 28 July 2025. The service was registered with the Care Quality Commission in July 2024 to provide the regulated activities of transport services, triage and medical advice provided remotely, and treatment of disease, disorder or injury.

This inspection focused on the Emergency and Urgent Care Assessment service group and was prompted by information received concerning the safety of the service.

We found breaches of the legal regulations in relation to safe care and treatment, premises and equipment, governance and staffing.

However, we found leaders were responsive to feedback and committed to improving. The service worked well with stakeholders and demonstrated a commitment to working in partnership with external organisations to support safe and effective care delivery at events.

People's experience of this service

Due to the nature of the service provided at Swadlincote Station, we were unable to observe any direct patient care during the on-site inspection. Additionally, we could not obtain feedback from service users as the service had not received any through their feedback channels and no responses had been submitted via the ‘Share Your Experience’ forms available on the CQC website.
