Date of Assessment: 20 January 2026. Pee Paediatric Services Ltd is a private clinic, located in Sale, Manchester, providing specialist treatment to children under 18 years of age, who were experiencing bladder/urinary continence problems known as lower urinary tract dysfunction. Conditions treated include overactive bladder, daytime wetting and nighttime wetting. Scanning and urine flow tests are carried out for diagnostic purposes and treatment involves conservative measures such as managing fluid intake and sometimes medication if required.
The service is run by a clinical nurse practitioner who is the sole owner and practitioner. The service understood and managed risks. The facilities and equipment met the needs of people, were clean and well-maintained and any risks mitigated. There were enough staff with the right skills, qualifications and experience. The nurse practitioner undertook training and regular appraisals to maintain high-quality care.
People and carers were involved in assessments of their needs. Assessments took account of people’s communication, personal and health needs. Care was based on latest evidence and good practice. The service worked with agencies involved in people’s care such as GPs for the best outcomes and smooth transitions when moving services. The service made sure people understood their care and treatment to enable them to give informed consent.
People were treated with kindness and compassion. The service treated people as individuals and supported their preferences. Parents and carers had choice in the care and treatment offered.
The service provided information people could understand, including child-friendly material. The service was easy to access, and people received fair and equal care and treatment. Staff understood Gillick competency.
The nurse practitioner was knowledgeable and understood their roles and responsibilities. They worked to deliver the best possible care and were receptive to new ideas.
