Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity
a. Within 14 days of the date of this Order, the Provider must develop and share a robust admissions policy with clear inclusion/exclusion criteria outlining the needs they can meet. The policy must set out how needs will be assessed, how safe staffing levels with appropriate competencies will be ensured, and how staff competence in assessments will be evidenced. The Provider must also establish and share a process for ongoing review and workforce evaluation to demonstrate the ability to meet the needs of new admissions.
b. The Provider must share their audit used to assure themselves people will be supported in line with their moving and handling care plan with repositioning and fluid intake in line with their care plan. This must include action taken when care plan needs are unmet, to safeguard safe and effective care. These must be shared with CQC on the second Monday of every month for the previous calendar month.
c. The Provider must share an audit and action plan from the analysis of the management of distressed behaviours to include staff training needs, recording and reporting of incidents and learning, the escalation process and support for staff to demonstrate they are maintaining service users’ and staff’s safety. They must provide assurance they have oversight to ensure behavioural triggers will be identified and de-escalation techniques developed for inclusion in care records. These must be shared with CQC on the second Monday of every month for the previous calendar month.
Terms of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity
The registered provider must not provide Accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care in a specialist service to people whose presenting need for care or support is as a direct result of the person’s learning disability and or autism at or from Houndswood House Care Home.
The registered provider must only accommodate a maximum of 50 service users at Houndswood House Care Home.
