Date of assessment 20 May 2026. Hallmark Willingdon Park Manor Luxury Care Home is a residential and nursing home that provides accommodation for up to 85 people. Including people living with dementia and those requiring or not requiring nursing care. There were 63 people living at the home on the day of inspection. This was the first assessment of this newly registered service.
The provider ensured people were able to access a range of community services within the comfort of their home. This included services which might potentially be difficult for people to access, such as a dental hygienist and support with oral healthcare. There were assigned oral health care champions who had extensive knowledge, enabling them to provide tailored support and guidance to promote and maintain good oral health. People had access to an on-site occupational therapist. People had individual goals to work towards which enabled them to achieve positive outcomes and regain independence and confidence.
Hallmark Willingdon Park Manor Luxury Care Home was a well laid out and maintained home. The facilities met people’s needs and supported them to be independent. There were safe recruitment procedures in place. Staff were confident with the level of training they had received. There were relevant risk assessments in place for people, and these were viewed in their care plans. Safeguarding policies and procedures were in place, and any concerns were raised appropriately. Medicines were administered and stored safely. Staff knew people well and what was important to them and were able to deliver bespoke person-centred care that met the individual needs of everyone living there.
Community professionals told us, “Throughout our partnership with Willingdon Manor, the professionalism, compassion, and resident-focused approach demonstrated by the team has been exceptional. Staff members treat residents with kindness, patience, dignity, and respect, and it is clear that resident wellbeing remains at the heart of the care they provide."
Staff enjoyed working at the home and told us the management team were supportive and approachable. Staff told us, “I love my job and am very happy, residents are lovely.”
There were robust auditing and monitoring process in place to ensure effective governance. All aspects of the home and care delivery was regularly reviewed and monitored.
