Rosemil Care is a domiciliary care agency providing personal care support to people in their own home. Not everyone who used the service received personal care. CQC only inspects where people receive the regulated activity of personal care. At the time of our assessment 11 people were receiving support with personal care.

This was a first comprehensive assessment since the registration of the service covering all the key questions and quality statements since registering with CQC.

People were protected and kept safe. Staff understood and managed risks to people’s safety. There were enough staff with the right skills, qualifications and experience. Staff received regular training and supervision to ensure they provided care safely and in line with best practice guidance.

People were involved in assessments of their needs. Staff reviewed assessments, taking account of people’s communication, personal and health needs. Staff monitored people’s health to support healthy living. Staff made sure people understood their care and treatment to enable them to give informed consent. Staff involved those important to people to take decisions in people’s best interests where they did not have capacity. Staff worked with all agencies involved in people’s care for the best outcomes and to ensure continuity of care

People were treated with kindness and compassion. Staff protected their privacy and dignity. They treated them as individuals and supported their preferences. The provider supported staff wellbeing.

People were involved in decisions about their care. Staff provided information people could understand. People knew how to give feedback and were confident the provider took it seriously and acted on it.

Leaders were visible, knowledgeable and supportive, helping staff develop in their roles. Staff were treated equally, free from bullying or harassment. There was a programme of regular audits to review the quality of care and there was a culture of continuous improvement

People's experience of the service

Updated 25 November 2025

People and their relatives were happy with the care provided. They were involved in the care planning process and staff respected their wishes and preferences. One person told us, “They are absolute god sends. Ever since being with Rosemil Care we have had no worries whatsoever. They go beyond”. People received support from consistent care workers who knew them well. A relative told us, “I am very happy. They keep me in the loop. If anything is a miss or if they are ill, then they always contact me and let me know. They are really good. I couldn’t fault them”. Another relative said, “My relative doesn’t feel lonely because staff are there. My relative asked for them to come twice a day as they feel unsafe on their own and they now feel safe with them there." Relatives told us there was good communication from the management team and they were encouraged to give feedback about the service. A relative said, “[The registered manager] is constantly contacting us. They either text or call us. They called to make sure we are ok as we have had a flu bug that is going round. They are always asking if we need any help.”
