During a routine inspection
The records evidenced consent was sought from people appropriately before any treatment began. Each patient record we looked at included a treatment plan. The plan itemised the cost of treatment and whether the costs were for private or NHS treatment. The practice gave people sufficient information to enable them to make an informed decision about treatment. People's medical and dental health needs were accurately documented. Medical information was updated at each visit.
The practice was clean and well maintained and the appropriate decontamination guidance was being followed. People told us staff always wore protective equipment such as gloves, goggles and visors when providing care and treatment. People using the service were protected in case of emergency because staff were trained in first aid and had access to resuscitation equipment.
Staff told us they felt well supported by management and were offered appropriate training at regular intervals.
