All Inspections

During an assessment under our new approach

We carried out this announced on-site inspection on Thursday 7 May 2026.

We found the practice had met all regulations.

The practice had effective systems to identify and manage risks.

Staff had the skills, knowledge and experience to carry out their roles.

Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation and there was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement.

Staff provided care and treatment in line with current guidance. They treated patients with dignity and respect and ensured access to care, support, and treatment when required.

The practice is in Sunninghill, Ascot, and provides NHS and private dental care and treatment for adults and children.

There was step-free access to the practice.

The practice had 8 treatment rooms. At the time of our inspection, there was a total of 21 staff, of which there were 4 dentists, 6 dental nurses, 1 dental therapist, 2 dental hygienists, 4 receptionists, 1 medical director, 1 treatment co-ordinator, 1 marketing lead and the practice manager. We gathered feedback from staff and spoke to a range of staff during our inspection.

The service provides cosmetic treatments, some of which are not in scope of CQC regulation and are not covered in our inspection.

During a routine inspection

We spoke with four people who use the service. People we spoke with told us they were happy with the practice. They told us they were treated with respect, had treatment choices explained to them, and staff acted in a way which put them at ease. One person told us, 'they are very good and I cannot fault them.' Others told us, 'I am very satisfied with the dentists.' and 'they explained things in a friendly way but gave me all of the options.'

We viewed eight patient records and found people's oral health was comprehensively assessed. For example, the dentist had checked for decay, soft tissue problems, and the condition of people's gums, jaw and face and recorded a map of the mouth.

We toured the practice and found it to be clean and tidy. The practice had effective systems in place to reduce the risk and spread of infection. We spoke with staff regarding the cleaning of used instruments and found procedures to be in line with guidelines from the Department of Health.

People we spoke with were happy with the care provided to them and none had made a complaint. One person told us, "I have been coming to this dentist for over 13 years. I have no complaints and would not go anywhere else".

Staff working at the practice said they felt supported by management and colleagues. Staff were given opportunities to take appropriate training.
