During a routine inspection
We found staff to be friendly and professional and they treated patients with consideration and respect. Patients were given information about their treatment and were able to make decisions based on that information. One patient told us the treatment was "perfectly explained and I was given options".
We read in the dental records that initial assessments were performed and that medical histories were checked at each visit. Records were updated at each visit with a new assessment. This meant records included details of any health conditions and their implications for the provision of dental care.
We found the practice to be clean and hygienic with effective systems in place to reduce the risk and spread of infection.
Staff were well supported and encouraged to undertake training to ensure patients were cared for by appropriately trained staff.
The provider had an effective system in place to monitor and assess the quality of the service delivered and patients were given the opportunity to express their views via questionnaires.
