Kindness, compassion and dignity
Staff treated patients with kindness, respect and compassion. We observed positive interactions between staff and patients both in person and on the telephone. Staff displayed an understanding of patients’ needs and showed warmth and compassion to patients.
Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice.
Patient comments included that staff were welcoming and attentive, acted with integrity, and showed compassion. Comments included, “Friendly and courteous reception staff, always made to feel welcome. Super clean and comfortable waiting area, waiting time is minimal. Once in the surgery, I’m greeted with friendly dentist and nurses. Examination is thorough and not rushed, reassuring communication is constant throughout. I’m always asked if I would like a scale polish, which I always accept, and afterwards it feels like a new mouth.”
Patients said staff were professional, courteous, and considerate. Comments included, “Always friendly, happy and considerate. Would recommend.”
Patients felt they were treated as individuals, and their personal and cultural needs were respected.
We were provided with a patient survey which indicated a high level of satisfaction with the care and treatment received.
People received care from staff who were aware of their responsibility to respect people’s diversity and human rights.
Staff felt respected, valued and supported in their roles, and their wellbeing was supported.
