Updated 15 January 2025
We carried out this announced on-site assessment on 24 March 2025.
We found the practice had met regulations.
Infection control procedures in place were effective.
The practice had effective systems to identify and manage risks. We found minor shortfalls in the management of risks associated with fire safety and medical emergency equipment.
Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation and there was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement.
Patients’ care and treatment was provided in line with current guidance.
Patients were treated with dignity and respect and at the time of our assessment, could access care, support and treatment when required.
The practice is in Dorridge, Solihull and provides private dental care and treatment for adults and children.
The practice is located on the first floor of a building and is therefore not accessible to wheelchair users. Patients who require step free access are informed about a local practice that would be able to accommodate these needs. There are car parking spaces, including dedicated parking for disabled people near the practice.
The practice has 3 treatment rooms. At the time of our assessment, there was a total of 6 staff, of which there was 1 dentist, 3 dental nurses (including the practice manager and a nurse who also works on reception), 1 dental hygienist, 1 receptionist and the practice manager. We gathered feedback from staff and spoke to a range of staff during our assessment including the dentist, 2 dental nurses and the practice manager.
