During a routine inspection

We saw people's oral health was assessed at their first appointment. They were given written information about the treatment options available and were asked to give their written consent to any treatment agreed.

Effective systems were in place to make sure the practice was clean, hygienic and free from infection. Staff and patients used appropriate protective equipment during treatment.

Dentists and dental nurses were fully trained and kept their knowledge and skills up to date with well documented continuing professional development.

The practice had effective systems in place to monitor quality assurance. Feedback from patients was used to improve practice.

Patients we spoke with were very positive about the practice and about their care and treatment. Comments included, 'They provide good care and I always understand my treatment' and 'They were good. They explained everything to me'.
