We carried out this announced on-site inspection on 21 July 2026.
We found the practice had met regulations.
The practice had effective systems to identify and manage risks, including infection prevention and control. The systems to risk assess sharps should be reviewed.
Staff had the skills, knowledge and experience to carry out their roles.
Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation and there was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement.
Staff provided care and treatment in line with current guidance. They treated patients with dignity and respect and ensured access to care, support, and treatment when required. We highlighted patient care records should be reviewed to ensure consistency of documentation.
The practice is in Leeds and provides NHS and private dental care and treatment for adults and children.
There was step-free access to the practice and onsite car parking spaces available, including dedicated parking for disabled people.
The practice had 4 treatment rooms. The practice trains foundation dental therapists, this programme introduces dental therapists to general dental practice, support their development in a supported and structured environment. At the time of our inspection, there was a total of 14 staff, of which there were 4 dentists (one of whom manages the practice), 6 dental nurses (including 2 trainees), 1 dental therapist and 1 foundation dental therapist, 1 receptionist and 1 member of support staff. We gathered feedback from staff and spoke to a range of staff during our inspection, including 3 dentists, 4 dental nurses, 1 dental therapist and the receptionist.
