During a routine inspection
Arrangements were in place to manage any dental and medical emergency situations experienced by people visiting the practice. People were offered information in different languages on healthy lifestyles which could affect their oral or dental health.
The practice followed the Department of Heath's guidance on infection control with regard to sterilisation of dental instruments and hand washing information and controls. The provider kept an up-to-date record of staff's Hepatitis vaccinations and immunity levels.
The provider took steps to ensure that staff were employed with the service only after appropriate identification and previous employment checks were carried out.
The provider held records of complaints. We saw that of the few there had been that these had all been responded to sensitively and in a timely manner to the complainants' satisfaction.
