Our current view of the service

We carried out this announced, on-site inspection on 19 June 2025.
We found the practice had met regulations.
Patients’ care and treatment was provided in line with current guidance, and infection control procedures were in place.
The practice had systems to manage risks. However, some improvements should be made to ensure action is taken when risks are identified, in particular relating to fire safety and Legionella.
Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation and overall, there was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement.
Patients were treated with dignity and respect and at the time of our inspection, could access care, support and treatment when required.
Gohil Dental Practice is part of Ishak Dental Group, a dental group provider. The practice is in Leicester and provides NHS and private dental care and treatment for adults and children.
A portable ramp was available to provide access to the practice and on-street car parking spaces, were available near the practice.
The practice had 3 treatment rooms. At the time of our inspection, the dental team consisted of 1 dentist, 1 foundation dentist, 1 dental therapist, 3 trainee dental nurses, 1 receptionist and the practice manager.
During the inspection we spoke with the dentist, the 3 dental nurses and the dental therapist. Three members of the groups’ senior leadership team, including the registered manager, were also at the inspection supporting the team.
Staff feedback forms were shared with the team ahead of the inspection, giving staff an opportunity to confidentially share their views about the practice. We received a number of responses, which were considered as part of the inspection.

People's experience of the service

Two weeks before our on-site inspection, we asked the practice to encourage patients to share their views of the service with us. We received feedback from 8 patients. Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice.
We reviewed online patient feedback. Overall, patients expressed satisfaction with the treatment they received. Where concerns were raised, the practice responded to comments. We were told the practice shared patient feedback with the team, and this was reviewed and where suggestions had been made, appropriate action would be taken.
