During a routine inspection
People told us the dentist always undertook an initial examination and they were given the cost of the treatment before any procedures were undertaken. People told us they were aware of the costs and what each cost band included.
People were also asked for their consent to treatment prior to commencement of treatment.
We saw the staff had training regarding infection control and we saw training files which supported this. The practice manager demonstrated to us the procedures for decontamination and sterilisation of instruments used.
We saw staff were employed with all the required vetting and security checks that ensured the safety and welfare of patients attending the practice.
Systems were in place to monitor the quality of service provision. Regular audits were in place and people were asked for their views. Comments included, " The attitude of the staff is excellent", This is a warm and welcoming place", " I have been attending here for a long time and now my children also visit the dentists here".
