Date of Assessment: 06 August 2026. Prime Way Care Sheffield is a domiciliary care agency providing personal care to people living in their own homes. CQC only inspects where people are receiving the regulated activity personal care. This is to help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. The reason for the assessment was to provide the service with their first rating. We looked at all quality statements within, safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led key questions. We have rated the service as ‘good.’

People received person-centred care and support, with their individual needs and preferences reflected in their care plans. Staff promoted people’s independence, choice and control and adapted care to reflect how people wanted to be supported, People were supported to remain connected with their local communities, helping reduce isolation and promote quality of life.

The service had systems in place to monitor people’s health and safety, including regular reviews of skin integrity assessments, alongside infection prevention and consent processes. Staff understood the importance of obtaining consent, respecting people’s choices and responding appropriately when people declined care. People were provided with information in formats they could understand and were involved in decisions about their care and support.

Staff were supported through training, supervision and management support, and told us they felt able to raise concerns and contribute ideas for improvement. Leaders promoted an open and supportive culture, with whistleblowing policies and governance systems in place. Audits, feedback and reviews were used to identify areas for improvement. Despite being a small service, leaders demonstrated a commitment to learning and developing the service.
