During a routine inspection

We spoke with four people and they told us that they had their treatment options explained and were asked to give their consent for treatment before it was given. We looked at five records during our visit and we saw notes had been completed for each visit and treatment plan completed.

The people we spoke with said that they received good standards of care at the practice. One person told us "I have been coming here for years and never had a problem." We observed the practice was clean and well maintained. A dental nurse showed us the decontamination room and how instruments were cleaned and sterilised.

The dentist had an established team with many staff having worked there for a long time. There were effective recruitment procedures in place and all staff received training to maintain their continued professional development.

The practice had good quality monitoring systems in place which helped to ensure that equipment was serviced and maintained as required to keep it in good order.
