During a routine inspection

Due to the nature of this service we were not able to speak with people who use the service at the time of this inspection. However we did look at the responses patients (and others) had provided to questionnaires and in a variety of social media. These were very positive about the support provided by the ambulance crews.

Suitable arrangements were in place to ensure people using the service were provided with effective, safe and appropriate personalised care. Also suitable action had been taken to protect people from abuse, minimise the risk of the spread of potential infections and manage medicines appropriately. A suitable recruitment process was being operated. This helped to ensure people using the service were supported by people who were suitably qualified and had undergone the legally required employment checks.

During a routine inspection

Due to the nature of this service we were not able to speak to people who use the service at the time of this inspection.

We found that people using the service were provided with sufficient information prior to engaging the services provided by Manchester Medical Services. Appropriate arrangements were made to preserve people's privacy and dignity and meet their care and support needs. There were enough qualified, skilled and experienced staff to meet people's needs and they were protected from unsafe or unsuitable equipment. There was an effective complaints system available.
