During a routine inspection
The patients we spoke with told us that they received excellent dental treatment at this practice. One patient told us, 'It's a good quality practice'. The dentist told us, 'I like making people feel good' and 'we provide a clean, calm and caring environment for our patients'. The dental nurse told us, 'It's a small friendly practice with a nice atmosphere'. We were told the practice provides emergency cover for registered patients. This was confirmed to when we spook to the patients who used the service. The dentist also provides cover for the dental emergency out of hour's service in the locality.
We found that the practice was following infection control policies and staff demonstrated they had a good understanding of infection control procedures. All the staff we spoke with knew their roles in protecting vulnerable adults and children. The practice had systems in place to assess and continually review the service that it provides and was making improvements where needed.
