During an assessment under our new approach
Date of Assessment: 29 July to 14 August 2025. We were prompted to inspect as concerns had been raised. However, we found no evidence to support these concerns. Kind2U Living is a service that provides personal care to people with learning disabilities or autistic people of all ages in their own home. At the time of the inspection, 1 person was being supported with a regulated activity.
Not everyone using the service received a regulated activity. The Care Quality Commission (CQC) only inspects the service being received by people provided with 'personal care'.
Based on the findings of this inspection the service was rated good overall.
We assessed the service against ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ guidance to make judgements about whether the provider guaranteed people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choices, independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted.
The service made sure there were enough qualified, skilled and experienced staff, who received effective support, supervision and development.
Staff and healthcare professionals worked in close partnership to support and keep the person safe. They understood and managed risk well. The service routinely monitored the person’s care to continuously improve it. This ensured outcomes were positive and consistent.
Staff were recruited safely, and medicines and infection risks were safely managed.
The person was involved in assessments of their needs. The service routinely reviewed assessments taking account of the person’s communication, personal and health care needs and wishes. The person was supported to make decisions about their care, had access to specialist health and social care support in the community and they were supported to live a healthy life.
The service gave the person opportunities to pursue their social interests and try new activities that enriched their life. The person was treated as an individual, they were encouraged to maintain relationships with family and friends.
Governance systems were well-established and operated effectively, records were well-maintained. Managers investigated incidents thoroughly. The service had a good learning culture, which supported improvement and inclusivity.
