Date of assessment: 16 December to 31 December 2025. The assessment was carried out due to the length of time since the last assessment. Beacon House is a residential care home, providing support to people with learning disabilities and complex needs for up to 16 people. At the time of our assessment there were 15 people living at the service. The provider was previously rated requires improvement in effective and had made improvement since their last assessment. All concerns related to people's nutritional needs had been met. There was a robust system in place to monitor people’s food and fluids.

We assessed the service against ‘Right support, right care, right culture guidance to make judgements about whether the provider guaranteed people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choices, independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted. We found people received care and support in accordance with the principles of this guidance.

People were supported by staff who fully understood best practice in relation to the wide range of strengths, impairments or sensitivities people with a learning disability and/or autistic people may have. This meant people received compassionate and empowering care tailored to their needs.
