Staff treated patients with kindness, respect and compassion. We observed positive interactions between staff and patients both in person and on the telephone. Staff displayed an understanding of patients’ needs and showed warmth and compassion to patients.

Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice.

Patient comments included that staff were welcoming and attentive, acted with integrity, and showed compassion.

Patients said staff were professional, courteous, and considerate.

Patients felt they were treated as individuals, and their personal and cultural needs were respected.

We were provided with a patient survey with a sample size of 67. Feedback was largely positive overall. Patients highlighted compassionate care and clear communication from the clinical teams as key strengths, and many reported feeling actively involved in decisions about their treatment. The main area for improvement identified was difficulty accessing the practice by telephone, and actions have been proposed to address this issue.

People received care from staff who were aware of their responsibility to respect people’s diversity and human rights, and of the importance of privacy and confidentiality.

Staff felt respected, valued and supported in their roles, and their wellbeing was supported.
