Our view of the service

Date of assessment 14 to 31 July 2026

K5K Limited t/a Tezlom, is a domiciliary care agency providing personal care to people living in their own homes. This was the first assessment of the service since it registered with CQC on 14 November 2023. At the time of our assessment, 4 people were using the service.

At the beginning of our assessment there was a registered manager in post. The registered manager left the service as part of a planned departure. The senior manager told us recruitment for a new registered manager was underway and interim management arrangements had been put in place.

The provider’s systems for monitoring the quality of the service had not always been effective in identifying gaps in records. Care records did not contain enough guidance for staff. Records relating to staff recruitment were not always robust. The provider did not always records staff supervisions or assessments of staff competencies.

We discussed our findings with a senior manager. They agreed to review the governance systems and records and make the required improvements.

Staff knew people well and understood their individual needs, preferences and routines. People received support from regular staff and, where possible, staff were matched to people based on their language and cultural preferences.

Staff cared for people in a safe way. Staff received a range of training and knew people's needs well. Risks to people's health, safety and wellbeing were assessed and managed. Staff recognised changes in people's health and wellbeing and took appropriate action. Staff felt supported and had the information they needed to provide safe care.

The provider assessed people's needs and planned care with their relatives. The service was responsive when people's needs changed and took appropriate action.
