Alexandra House is a care home that provides nursing and personal care for younger adults and people living with dementia. At the time of the assessment the service supported 3 people. The last focused assessment of Alexandra House was published 25 February 2025; there was no overall rating given at this inspection. The key questions Safe and Well-Led were rated Inadequate. This is the services first full assessment and the overall rating for Alexandra House is Good. This is based on the findings at this assessment. We found significant improvements had been made since our last assessment and the provider was no longer in breach of any regulations. Medicines were managed safely, systems in place were utilised to ensure people received their prescribed medicines safely. Risks were assessed and risk reduction measures in place. Significant works had taken place to improve the safety of the environment. The home was exceptionally clean, and staff followed infection, prevention and control guidance. People were protected from the risk of abuse and neglect as safeguarding processes had been fully reviewed since our last assessment. Staff were kind and caring, they knew people and their needs well. The service was open and honest when things went wrong, and lessons were learnt. Staff were recruited safely and there were enough trained staff on duty to meet people’s health and social care needs. The service was managed well. Governance systems in place now identified areas for improvements and frequent monitoring ensured any issued were addressed without delay. Staff told us the management team were supportive and approachable. The service worked well with partners to improve the quality and safety of care.
