We carried out an assessment of Pacific and Gold Healthcare Teesside 20 May and 20 July 2026. This was the first assessment since the service was registered. This was a remote assessment, which meant we did not visit the provider’s office. We received telephone feedback from 1 person and 8 relatives.
Pacific and Gold Healthcare Teesside provides personal care to people living in their own homes.
There were some shortfalls within recruitment records, including missing information and incomplete employment histories for some staff. The registered manager acted immediately to improve systems to prevent this happening in the future.
The provider had effective systems to help keep people safe. Risks were assessed and managed, safeguarding concerns were acted upon appropriately, and lessons were learned from incidents and complaints. Staff received training and support to carry out their roles.
The service worked well with health and social care professionals to help people achieve positive outcomes and promote people’s independence. Management encouraged an open and inclusive culture. People, relatives and staff gave positive feedback about the management of the service. Governance systems and quality assurance processes were used to monitor the service and make improvements.
 

People's experience of the service

People and relatives gave positive feedback about the care Pacific and Gold Healthcare Teesside provided. They said staff treated people with kindness, dignity and respect. A relative said, “They do treat [family member] well. They will have conversations with [family member] and are very polite.” People felt safe and involved in decisions about their care. They felt able to raise concerns and were confident these would be listened to and acted upon.
People received support from a consistent staff team who knew their needs well. A relative commented, “They are usually on time, sometimes they are a little early. They will stay if there is something to do, they are flexible.” People and relatives told us staff responded promptly to their requests for assistance. Staff respected people’s choices and encouraged independence to promote people’s wellbeing. People and relatives felt able to give feedback and said the provider listened to their views.
Care plans reflected people’s preferences, needs and goals. Survey results showed people and staff were happy with the care provided. People felt their needs were met and they were involved in decisions about their care.
