During a routine inspection

We spoke with four patients who attended on the day and asked for their comments about the practice. They all commented that they were treated with courtesy and respect when they arrived and found the reception staff helpful. They all said they were not kept waiting long or had to wait a long time for an appointment. Two patients described the receptionist as friendly.

They all said that their treatment was explained carefully to them by the dentist so that they understood were able to make informed decisions about their treatment options.

All of the patients we spoke with said that they were given good advice on how to care for their teeth and gums.

One of the patients was treated on the NHS and said 'they were made clearly aware of what was available on the NHS and what was a private option' so that they could make an informed decision about their treatment.

Patients were protected from cross infection because treatment was provided in a clean surgery and appropriate guidance had been followed.

Patients were cared for by staff that were supported to deliver care and treatment safely and to an appropriate standard.

Patients were protected from unsafe and inappropriate care because the practice records kept were accurate, fit for purpose and held in a confidential and secure way.
