Date of Assessment:12 and 17 November 2025. The service is a nursing home providing support to people under and over 65 years old, including people living with dementia. At the time of this inspection, there were 27 people living at the home. Care was provided across 4 units, including an all-male unit.
We carried out this assessment partly due to concerns we received regarding people’s safety at the service and access to external health professionals. We did not find these concerns were substantiated.
Overall, medicines were well managed, and we did not find any medication errors. However, we found medication records for the application of prescribed creams needed improvement.
People told us they felt safe and we found risks to people’s care were assessed and appropriate plans put in place to manage those risks. Accidents and incidents were being recorded, patterns analysed, and actions taken.
The provider had a good learning culture and people, relatives and stafffelt able to raise concerns.
The facilities and equipment met people’s needs,were clean and well-maintained, and there were ongoing improvements being made to the home to further improve the environment.
Managers ensured staff received training and regularsupervisiontomaintainhigh-quality care. Staff told us they felt well supportedby management.Staff treated people with respect.
Care was delivered to people in a person-centred way,and we found most care plans were detailed.
The management team were knowledgeable about people’s needs. The manager had applied to register with the Care Quality Commission. The manager and provider monitored the quality and safety of the service. People, relatives and staff were regularly asked for feedback. The management team was responsive to inspection findings and feedback and acted or told us the actions they would take in response to our feedback.
