All Inspections

During a routine inspection

People told us that the service had helped them to become more independent and confident. One person told us they were now able use public transport independently, manage their money and go out to clubs since they have used the service. Another person told us they really enjoyed their placement, and had become good friends with another young person who lived with the shared lives carers on a long term placement.

People told us they were introduced to their shared lives carers before any placements took place. One person told us they had been helped to write their support plan with their support worker. The support plan was given to the shared lives carers, who had helped the person to work towards meeting the goals identified in the plan.

People told us they were involved in the running of the service. One person told us they had been involved in the recruitment process for new shared lives carers. Another person told us they had attended a meeting for shared lives carers to talk about their experience of using the service.
