Date of Assessment: 15 July to 4 August 2025. County Medicare Professional Nursing Care Services LTD s a domiciliary homecare service providing personal and social care to people living in their own homes.

Not everyone who used the service received personal care. CQC only inspects where people receive personal care. This is help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. Where staff do support people with personal care, we also consider any wider social care provided. At the time of this assessment the service was supporting 22 people with the regulated activity of personal care.

The service had been registered previously. However, this is the first inspection under the current registration. Since this registration there has been a change to the ownership and management of the service.

People, their relatives and staff consistently spoke highly of the service. People were supported by an exceptionally kind, compassionate and caring staff team. People’s dignity and privacy was respected and promoted by those supporting them. Staff actively supported people to retain and improve their independence.

The registered manager had worked hard and developed excellent working partnerships with external health and social care professionals to ensure good outcomes for people. People were protected from the risk of abuse, harm or discrimination. Their medicines were managed safely. Staff knew people well and understood the care and support required. There were enough staff who had been safely recruited and received ongoing training and support. People were supported to maintain good health. Staff were proactive in ensuring people’s needs were responded to and met in a timely way.

Risks to people were well managed and the registered manager had introduced innovative ideas to help manage risks in people’s home. Staff told us they felt valued, supported and listened to. They were able to contribute to the development of the service.

There was a positive culture at the service. The provider and staff were committed to improving and developing the service for the benefit of the people who lived there. Staff spoke highly of the registered manager and their colleagues.

People's experience of the service

People and their relatives were positive about the service and their experiences of using it. They told us the service was well managed. One person said, “I think they must be well led, the carers seem happy and I don’t think there is anything they could do better.” Another told us, “I would definitely recommend them, which has to be a high accolade.” One relative said, “The managers are very receptive and if I feel something needs to change, they will deal with it. They are very good at communicating and I am kept up to date and well informed.”

People told us they received the care and support they required and felt safe when being supported by staff. On person said, “I think they are excellent, they look after me very well and I feel very safe with them in my house. Before they go, they always check that I have everything and I am comfortable.” People said staff had the knowledge and skills to look after them. One person told us, “They (staff) understand my needs and limitations which is really good and why I feel particularly safe.” Another person said, “They have to help me quite a lot physically and I always feel reassured that they know what they are doing.”

People told us staff were kind. One person said, “They are wonderful and very caring and kind.” Relatives told us they also felt supported by the staff. One relative said, “I think we come as a package and although they are here to look after [name], they are always asking if I am okay too, which is really nice.”
