Date of assessment: 12 June 2026 to 26 June 2026

This was the first assessment of the service since registering with the CQC on 15 March 2023.

Care Champions Support Ltd provides care and support to people living in their own homes. Not everyone using Care Champions Support Ltd received a CQC regulated activity; CQC only inspects when the service being received by people is within the definition of the regulated activity of ‘personal care’; such as help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. Where we do, we also take into account any wider social care provided. At the time of the assessment, the service was supporting 11 people with personal care.

This assessment was carried out with a site visit to the office location on 15 June 2026.

The service implemented robust systems to ensure people were safeguarded from abuse. Risks had been identified and assessments completed to ensure people received safe care. The service recruited staff safely, ensuring they completed mandatory training. The service completed pre-assessments to ensure people were able to get the support they needed. Systems were in place to prevent infections.

Staff were caring and had a positive relationship with people. People’s privacy and dignity was respected. People received personalised care and care plans included information on how to provide person centred care. People were involved in decisions about their care.

The provider maintained management oversight through active quality assurance systems and regularly gathered feedback on care from both people and their relatives.

People's experience of the service

Updated 12 June 2026

Relatives told us people were safe when receiving support from staff. A relative told us, “I know it is safe, the fact that [person] feels safe in those carers hands, I am blessed, honestly it is so hard to find good carers.”

Relatives told us carers came on time. A relative told us, “[Staff member] is very professional. [Staff member] is very good, they come on time.” Another relative commented, “Sometimes they are waiting outside ten to fifteen minutes early when I am leaving for work, yeah they are always on time.”

Staff treated people with kindness and respect. A relative told us, “They [staff] are quite kind. They are brilliant and [person] is quite friendly with them, [person] actually likes them.” Another relative commented, “It’s a fantastic relationship [person] has with the carers and I’m really, really happy.”

Staff were trained to perform their roles effectively. A relative commented, “When we were doing the care plan with the manager, my main concern was that the carers should be trained and knowledgeable, it seems that they are. They keep their training updated and everything.”

Relatives were positive about the support people received. A relative told us, “When it comes to [person’s] care plan, we have to think about and look up what is good for [person], because they can make decisions on her own, so they respect what she feels like and how she feels like.”

We received positive feedback about the service. A relative told us, “I am very happy with Care Champion, very safe. The manager is very good, any problem we will talk to her.” Another relative commented, “[Person] is really happy with the care they are receiving and the company, and I know if I had any problems or [person] had issues, I know who to go to address it. The service is fantastic to be honest, I’m really pleased. I’m happy I joined this company since I haven’t had any problems."
