Date of assessment: 4 June to 17 June 2026, including a site visit to the office on 8 June 2026. Jessy Care Ltd provides personal care to people in their own homes. At the time of the assessment, they were supporting 3 people. The provider had also recently registered to provide nursing care to people in their own homes, but at the time of our assessment this aspect of the service hadn’t commenced, so this assessment report only covers the support to people provided with personal care.
The service provided safe, effective care which met people’s needs and preferences. Staff were appropriately recruited, trained and supported. The provider assessed people’s needs and worked with them, and their families where appropriate, to develop detailed care plans so staff knew how to support people effectively. Care plans and risk assessments were reviewed and updated when people’s needs changed.
The provider had an electronic care planning system, which enabled them to plan care visits and arrange staffing accordingly. This helped ensure people received a reliable service. There was good communication between the staff team and management.
People received their medicines as prescribed, but we noted some gaps in records relating to variable dose medicines and those prescribed for use ‘as required’. The registered manager agreed to address this. Staff knew how to raise safeguarding concerns and felt confident any issues they reported would be addressed. Staff worked in accordance with the Mental Capacity Act and respected people’s choices and decisions.
The service was well managed and there were some systems in place to monitor the quality of the service. However, some improvements were needed to make governance more robust, and the registered manager agreed to commence formal auditing of relevant records. The registered manager listened to feedback from people, relatives and staff to continually improve the service. Staff and managers worked well in partnership working with families and professionals to ensure people’s needs were met. Staff were motivated and felt there was a positive, person-centred culture within the service.
