Our current view of the service

Good

Updated 22 January 2026

Date of assessment: 28 January 2026 to 6 February 2026.

The service is a care at home service providing support to younger and older adults living with physical disabilities, dementia and/or mental health conditions. CQC only inspects where people receive personal care. This relates to help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. There were 5 people receiving a regulated activity at the time of our inspection.

People who used services felt safe and relatives felt their family members were safe and well supported by staff. Staff understood safeguarding processes and how to manage risk. Infection control processes were followed and medicines were administered safely.

Care was based on best practice, with regular assessments and monitoring. Staff worked well with healthcare partners, supported people to live healthier lives and people’s consent was respected.

Staff were caring and treated people as individuals. Independence was encouraged and staff wellbeing was supported.

Care was person-centred and support plans were detailed. People were involved in decisions where possible and complaints processes were in place. End of life care wishes were included in support plans.

A registered manager was in place and their leadership was commented on positively by people who used services, relatives and staff. The values of their service were set out in the service user guide and staff handbook and staff worked in line with those values. Effective governance systems were in place and staff felt able to speak up.

People's experience of the service

Updated 22 January 2026

We sought feedback from some people who used services and relatives of other people who used services who were unable to speak with us.

People who used the service and their relatives were largely positive about their experiences of care. People described staff as kind, patient and supportive, and said they felt safe and well cared for. A person who used the service said, “They are absolutely lovely people, fantastic, hardworking – always with a smile on their face, never down, and they just brighten up my world.”

People told us that care staff were reliable, arrived on time and stayed for the agreed duration, with missed visits being rare. A family member said, “It’s exactly what we want. When [relative] has needed 24-hour care, which they did after a hospital visit, they were only too happy to offer 24-hour care immediately. They were ready and waiting within eight hours.” People who used the service and relatives valued having a small, consistent staff team who knew them well and understood their needs, which helped build trust and familiarity.

People who used the service told us that care staff supported them to remain as independent as possible. Encouraging them to do what they could for themselves and helped them maintain their wellbeing and quality of life. Relatives spoke positively about staff professionalism, their ability to manage complex needs and their willingness to raise concerns promptly and work with families and health professionals when needed.
