All Inspections

11 January 2013

During a routine inspection

As part of our inspection, we observed the care people received, talked to parents about the care their child was receiving, looked at care records relating to the care of two children and spoke to two staff members and the manager

Care records were clear and concise with comprehensive assessment of need, detailed care plans included how people would like to see their needs being met.

We observed a carer interacting with one child. The carer told us: “When we watch a child, you can tell how they communicate, I know what mood they are in, and X is a very smiley child.”

A parent told us: “The care provided is good, management is good, we work well together. The carers disappear into the background when we want family time, but they are there when we need them.”

We saw clear instructions for the administration of medication. Documents were colour-coded and broken down into time-frames to ensure that the appropriate medication was administered at the correct times via the correct method and the correct dosage.
