Prior to our inspection, we asked the practice to encourage patients to share their views of the service with us. We received feedback from 12 patients. On the day of our inspection, we saw patient feedback from a further 37 patients, who had left online reviews. We also saw patient feedback from 6 patients, who had completed paper feedback forms. Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice. Comments included:
“Whenever we have an appointment, she has been treated professionally and in a relaxed environment. All the staff are friendly. The clinic always appears clean and tidy. I would recommend them to anyone needing treatment.”
“It was exemplary! I felt supported through the whole process by the team. I was nervous and lacking self-esteem because of my teeth and I found [the orthodontist] empathetic and felt totally safe in their hands. The attention to detail was second to none. I felt totally supported and she was responsive to any phone calls or questions I had. I couldn’t be happier with the outcome and the care that I received from her and all of her team."
“Staff are so warm and welcoming, they clearly all love their jobs and there is a great atmosphere at the practice. Processes are clearly explained, and I have been permitted to watch my son's treatments and ask questions about the physics, which I've found so interesting. Appointment booking is so organised and accommodating around work/school.”
Patients commented positively about the standards of cleanliness. “The practice is an ideal size, the rooms are nice and it's always clean and tidy. The location is convenient, close to the main roads.” Patients felt able to book appointments within an acceptable timescale for their needs and said they had enough time during their appointment without feeling rushed.
Patients told us they were given clear information to help them make an informed choice about their treatment and any associated costs. They were involved in decisions about their care.
Patients said when they were prescribed medicines, sufficient information was given. Patients told us that they were supported to maintain their oral health and were provided with appropriate information and resources. The practice shared patient feedback with the team. We were told this was reviewed and where suggestions had been made, appropriate action would be taken.
