Date of Assessment: 21 October 2025 to 24 October 2025. The service is a nursing home providing support to adults of all ages living with dementia, nursing needs, physical disabilities and learning disabilities or autistic spectrum disorder. This assessment was in response to CQC receiving information of concern.
We assessed the service against ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ to make judgements about whether the provider guaranteed people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choice, independence and access to local communities that most people take for granted.
Improvements were needed to ensure consent had been considered for all areas, including the use of CCTV. At times staff could have interacted better with people, as they were available to do so.
However, people received safe care that was based on their assessed individual needs. People and those important to them were involved with this process and this was regularly reviewed. People were protected from potential abuse as procedures were in place and followed. Infection control was considered. Medicines were managed safely.
Staff knew people well and they were safely recruited and had the skills and training to support people.
There were systems in place to monitor quality of the service. Staff felt listened to and involved with the service.
