Date of Assessment: 19 September 2025 to 7 October 2025. Silverdale Medical Centre is a GP practice and delivers service to 8,043 patients under a contract held with NHS England. The National General Practice Profiles states that the ethnic make-up of the practice area is 49% White, 42% Asian, 3% Black, 3% Mixed and 3% Other. Information published by the Office for Health Improvement and Disparities shows that deprivation within the practice population group is in the seventh decile (7 of 10). The lower the decile, the more deprived the practice population is relative to others. This assessment considered the demographics of the people using the service, the context the service was working within and how this impacted service delivery. People's experience of the service

People were mainly positive about the quality of their care and treatment. Recent survey results, including from the National GP Patient Survey and the NHS Friends and Family Test (FFT), showed people were satisfied with services. There was an active Patient Participation Group (PPG) who represented the views of people using the service. Representatives from the PPG described how managers made positive changes because of feedback, such as making patients aware of delays creating a transparent service, the PPG had also communicated Did Not Attend rates to the practice population and were planning an open day to the practice population to support with health initiatives and access.
