Our view of the service
The only regulated activity delivered at Babyvision Limited was diagnostic imaging, specifically ultrasound scanning. The service operated from a facility comprising two scanning rooms, two consultation rooms and a large reception area, and provided baby keepsake scans, transvaginal ultrasound scans and non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT). This assessment was undertaken in response to an aged rating, and following inspection the overall rating of the service remained good.
We rated the service as good because there were effective systems in place to escalate unexpected findings identified during ultrasound scans, ensuring risks were appropriately managed. Feedback from women and their families was consistently very positive, with people describing a caring, supportive experience. The service was responsive to people’s needs, with flexible appointment availability enabling timely access. Leadership was effective; the registered manager had the appropriate skills, experience and oversight to manage the service and maintain standards of care.
