Our view of the service

We carried out an announced comprehensive inspection at Mollie Elise Aesthetics Ltd on 5 February 2026. This was the first inspection of this provider since their registration with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in 2023.

This service is registered with CQC under the Health and Social Care Act 2008 in respect of some, but not all, of the services it provides. There are some exemptions from regulation by CQC which relate to particular types of regulated activities and services and these are set out in Schedule 1 and Schedule 2 of The Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014.

Mollie Elise Aesthetics Ltd is based in Chorley and provides a range of non-surgical cosmetic interventions which are not within the CQC scope of registration. Therefore, we did not inspect or report on these services. The services provided which require CQC registration included non-surgical thread lifts and intravenous (IV) vitamin infusions.

The service does not treat people under the age of 18 years for the services which are regulated.

The clinician (senior nurse practitioner) for the service, who is a registered nurse, is the registered manager, owner and director. A registered manager is a person who is registered with the CQC to manage the service. Like registered providers, they are ‘registered persons’. Registered persons have legal responsibility for meeting the requirements in the Health and Social Care Act 2008 and associated Regulations about how the service is run.

We assessed all quality statements across the safe, effective, caring, responsive and well led key questions. The overall rating following this inspection is ‘Good’. At this inspection we saw:

SAFE: The service had a good learning culture and people could raise concerns. Managers investigated incidents thoroughly. People were protected and kept safe. Staff understood and managed risks. The facilities and equipment met the needs of people, were clean and well-maintained and any risks mitigated. There were enough staff with the right skills, qualifications and experience. Managers made sure staff received training and regular appraisals to maintain high-quality care. Staff managed medicines well and involved people in planning any changes.

EFFECTIVE: People were involved in all decisions and at all stages of their treatment in assessments of their needs. Staff reviewed assessments taking account of people’s communication, personal and health needs. Care was based on latest evidence and good practice. Staff made sure people understood their care and treatment to enable them to give informed consent.

CARING: People were treated with kindness and compassion. Staff protected their privacy and dignity. They treated them as individuals and displayed an understanding and non-judgmental attitude when supporting their preferences. People had choice in their care and treatment. The service supported staff wellbeing.

RESPONSIVE: People were involved in decisions about their care. The service provided information people could understand. People knew how to give feedback and were confident the service took it seriously and acted on it. The service was easy to access and worked to eliminate discrimination.

WELL-LED: The service had clear responsibilities, roles, systems of accountability and good governance. The governance arrangements were appropriate to the range of services provided and the small team delivering these services. Through conversations, evidence collected during the inspection and a review of correspondence, it was evident the leadership of the service had the capacity and skills to deliver high-quality, sustainable outcomes. They were knowledgeable about issues and priorities relating to the quality and future of services. They understood national and local changes and challenges, including changes within the medical aesthetic sector.
