During an assessment under our new approach
Date of assessment: 29 April 2025. The provider had not been previously inspected. We carried out an unannounced assessment of 23 quality statements, under the safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led key questions in response to CQC receiving information of concern. We found 3 breaches of the legal regulations, specifically safe care and treatment, staffing, and good governance. As a result of our findings the service has been rated as inadequate.
As a result of our assessment findings, this service took the decision to voluntarily cancel their registration with CQC meaning they can no longer provide CQC regulated activities to patients, with immediate effect.

This service was registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) under the Health and Social Care Act 2008, in respect of some, but not all, of the services it provided. There are some general exemptions from regulation by CQC which relate to particular types of service, and these are set out in Schedule 2 of The Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014. The Sanctum Medical Aesthetics Limited was registered to deliver the Regulated Activities of Treatment of Disease, Disorder and Injury (TDDI) and Surgical Procedures. Under TDDI, The Sanctum Medical Aesthetics Limited provided consultations, examination and treatments for skin diseases and conditions including acne, rosacea, pigmented and vascular lesions etc. In addition, provided treatments for hyperhidrosis, bruxism, headache and migraine, vitamin injections and hay fever as well as medical weight management. Under Surgical Procedures they provided a range of preoperative assessment and postoperative care for surgical procedures related to cosmetic surgery.
The Sanctum Medical Aesthetics Limited is an independent clinic offering CQC regulated medical services and slimming and obesity management services, as well as non-regulated aesthetic services.
The Sanctum Medical Aesthetics Limited is based in a two-storey building in Cottingham. The service comprises of a reception, waiting room and clinic rooms. The service is open Monday to Friday 10am to 6pm. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, the clinic remains open until 8pm.
