Equity in experiences and outcomes
Staff co-ordinated care and support to meet people’s needs. People living with dementia were treated as equals.
Leaders and staff were aware of discrimination and inequality and would be comfortable to address these barriers.
The service was compliant with legal equality and human rights requirements, and able to make reasonable adjustments. Staff had access to relevant training.
The service had systems to support staff to accompany people to attend medical appointments.
Person centred care was based on the needs of the particular individual.
