This inspection was carried out between 18 May and 19 May 2026. Your Life (Rugby) is a domiciliary care agency providing home care services to people who live in one of the leasehold apartments located at Knox Court in Rugby. People can purchase a personal care service from the provider or arrange personal care from an external provider if preferred. At the time of inspection, Your Life (Rugby) were providing personal care to 8 people. Not everyone who used the service received personal care. CQC only inspects where people receive personal care. This is help with tasks related to personal hygiene, eating and drinking. Where they do, we also consider any wider social care provided. This was the first inspection of this service, and we reviewed all 5 key questions.

As part of our inspection, we spoke with people who used the service, their relatives, staff and the registered manager. We reviewed care plans, medication records, recruitment files and quality assurance records.

Managers and staff were positive about working for Your Life (Rugby). They understood the standards expected of them and their role in ensuring people had the support they needed to remain living independently in their own homes. The registered manager was supported by duty managers who had clear and defined delegated responsibilities. Staff felt confident in the management of the home and the accessibility of their managers. Staff training was regularly refreshed and duty managers carried out spot checks, competency reviews and individual supervisions with staff to ensure expected standards were maintained.

Risks to people’s health and wellbeing were identified and planned for. Staff understood their role in reporting any concerns about people’s safety. Staff described effective communication within the small staff team and the importance of escalating concerns, so people got healthcare support when they needed it. There was a culture of supportive learning to improve the quality and safety of the service.

The provider carried out their own audits to ensure their policies and processes were being followed.
