We carried out a comprehensive inspection at Ear Matters Exeter due to a change in their registration in November 2022. Ear Matters Exeter provides an ear micro suction and irrigation service.
The service is provided by two registered nurses one of whom is the registered manager and the other the nominated individual. A registered manager is a person who is registered with the Care Quality Commission to manage the service.
Like registered providers, they are ‘registered persons.’ Registered persons have legal responsibility for meeting the requirements in the Health and Social Care Act 2008 and associated Regulations about how the service is run. The service does not employ any other staff. For the purpose of this report, we will refer to the nominated individual and registered manager as the ‘staff.’
