Kindness, compassion and dignity

The clinic always treated patients with kindness, empathy and compassion and respected their privacy and dignity. This was reflected in the patient feedback we reviewed. Arrangements were in place to promote patients’ privacy.

The service offered a chaperone service.

Treating people as individuals

The clinic treated patients as individuals and made sure people’s care, support and treatment met people’s needs and preferences

Patients’ personal, cultural, social, religious and equality characteristics needs were understood and met. Patient communication needs were met to enable them to be fully involved in their care.

Independence, choice and control

The service promoted people’s independence, so people knew their rights and had choice and control over their own care, treatment and wellbeing.

Staff recognised the importance of people’s dignity and respect.

Responding to people’s immediate needs

The service listened to and understood people’s needs, views and wishes. Staff responded to people’s needs in the moment and acted to minimise any discomfort, concern or distress.

The clinic was organised and delivered services to meet patients’ needs and engage people in discussions about their immediate needs.

Workforce wellbeing and enablement

The registered manager cared about and promoted the wellbeing of their team and supported and enabled staff to deliver person-centred care.

The service worked hard to embed a positive culture which included opportunities for team meetings, social events and career progression. Staff we spoke with indicated they shared the owner’s passion for making a difference to patients’ health and lives.
