Our view of the service
Date of Assessment: 16 May 2026 to 25 May 2026. Wylie health Ltd is an independent clinic that provides a range of private healthcare and GP services to adults and children. The service is registered for treatment of disease, disorder or injury, and diagnostic and screening procedures. The provider offers specialist services including general practice, dermatology, vaccinations, and health checks. The registered manager for the service is Dr. Suzanne Wylie.
This is the first assessment of the service since it was registered with CQC on 06 April 2023 and we carried out this inspection to provide a rating. During this assessment, we only reviewed the GP services provided by the service. The provided also offered non-surgical cosmetic interventions, for example dermal fillers and laser hair removal which are not within CQC scope of registration. Therefore, we did not assess or report on these services. We only inspected and reported on the services which are within the scope of registration with the CQC.
The service had a good learning culture and people could raise concerns. Managers investigated incidents thoroughly. People were protected and kept safe. Staff understood and managed risks. The facilities and equipment met the needs of people, were clean and well-maintained, and any risks mitigated. There were enough staff with the right skills, qualifications, and experience. Managers made sure staff received training to maintain high-quality care.
People were involved in assessments of their needs. Staff reviewed assessments taking account of people’s communication, personal, and health needs. Care was based on the latest evidence and good practice. Staff made sure people understood their care and treatment to enable them to give informed consent.
People were treated with kindness and compassion. Staff protected people’s privacy and dignity and treated them as individuals, supporting their preferences. People had choice in their care and treatment. The service supported staff wellbeing.
People were involved in decisions about their care. The service provided information people could understand. People knew how to give feedback and were confident the service took it seriously and acted upon it. The service was easy to access, and people received fair and equal care and treatment.
Leaders and staff had a shared vision and culture based on listening, learning, and trust. Leaders were visible, knowledgeable, and supportive, helping staff develop their roles. Staff felt supported to give feedback and were treated equally, free from bullying or harassment. Staff understood their roles and responsibilities. There was a culture of continuous improvement with staff given time and resources to try new ideas.
People's experience of this service
People were positive about the quality of their care and treatment. We saw good reviews about the service both online and in cards/letters shown to us by the provider. Feedback to the service was overwhelmingly complimentary about the service and quality of treatment. Independent websites showed people reviewing the service with an average of 4.5 out of 5.
