SureCare Salford Manchester is a domiciliary care service which provides personal care to people living in their own homes. Not everyone who used the service received personal care. The Care Quality Commission (CQC) only inspects where people receive personal care. This is help with tasks related to personal hygiene and/or support with eating and drinking. Where they do, we also consider any wider social care provided. At the time of this assessment the service was supporting 2 people with personal care.

Systems and process for safeguarding were operated effectively. There was a clear learning culture within the service, based on openness, honesty and transparency. People were involved in managing risk with new and emerging risks responded to timely. Systems and processes for managing accidents, incidents and untoward events were managed effectively.

Systems and process to ensure safe management of medicines were place. Staff were trained and were assessed as competent to administer medicines safely.

There were enough staff to meet people’s needs. Before people started using the service their needs were assessed. Staff and teams worked together both internally and with external agencies. This was confirmed by the positive feedback we received from a professional who worked with the service.

Consent to provide care was obtained by staff. Where appropriate, people were supported to access GP and primary care services.

Systems and processes for audit, quality assurance and questioning of practice, such as spot checks, were operated effectively. Feedback from people was obtained by the service and valued by the registered manager. People were kept up to date about developments and improvements via regular informative newsletters from the service.

People's experience of the service

Updated 14 January 2026

Due to the low number of people who used the service, feedback was limited. However, we looked at surveys and feedback provided by people who had previously used the service.

We saw that people felt safe and were confident any concerns raised would be taken seriously and dealt with fairly and compassionately.

People felt their carers had enough time allocated to them with feedback from people being mostly positive. Comments included, “I’m happy with the service and have no complaints.”

People described staff in positive terms such as being kind, caring and treating them as individuals. People were supported to understand their rights and how the service would make sure these were respected.
