Mega Resources Nursing & Care - Gloucestershire

Date of Assessment: 24 June 2026 to 16 July 2026. We visited the registered office on 29 June 2026. Mega Resources Nursing Care – Gloucestershire is a home care service.We carried out this assessment due to the service not having its first rating since registration with CQC.

We assessed all 33 quality statements across the safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led key questions. As a result of our assessment, we rated the service good.  

People were safe and protected from abuse and avoidable harm.The provider had a proactive and positive culture of safety, based on openness and honesty. Staff listened to concerns about safety and investigated and reported safety events. Lessons were learnt to continually identify and embed good practice. 

People’s care, treatment and support achieved good outcomes and promoted a good quality of life. People received effective assessments and reviews of their health, social care and communication needs. The provider worked well across teams and services to support people. 

Staff were person-centred and clearly knew people well. People were treated with kindness, empathy and compassion.

We assessed the service against ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ guidance to make judgements about whether the provider guaranteed autistic people and people with a learning disability respect, equality, dignity, choices, independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted. We found the service applied the principles of the ‘Right support, right care, right culture’guidance.

We received positive feedback and people were complimentary of the service they received, the managers and the care staff.

Each relative we spoke with told us that they felt their relatives were safe in the presence of the care workers. People told us the care staff followed good hygiene practices and medication was well managed. They were positive about the skills and knowledge of the carers. They told us the staff respected their privacy and dignity. People told us they felt involved in the care and their relatives and were kept well informed.People and their relatives told us the staff were kind and friendly,their care was good and personalised to their needs. They told us the management team were approachable.
