Date of assessment:09 February to 23February2026.This assessment was carried out remotely and we did not visit the office. Martin Grange is a domiciliary care agency registered to provide personal care to people in their own homes. Martin Grange is situated in an assisted living retirement community. At the time of our assessment there were10 people receiving support with personal care. CQC only inspects where people receive personal care.
People’s needs were assessed before they began receiving the service. The information gathered was used to ensure they received person-centred care and support, which was clearly documented in their care plans. Risk assessments were also completed to help minimise potential risks and ensure that people received safe and appropriate care.
People were safeguarded from the risk of harm and abuse. Staff supporting them had the knowledge and confidence to recognise safeguarding concerns and understood their responsibilities to report any accidents, incidents, or concerns appropriately.
People were supported to have maximum choice and control of their lives and staff supported them in the least restrictive way possible and in their best interests.
Medicines were handled and administered safely. Staff completed appropriate training in medicines management and had their competency assessed before they were permitted to support individuals with their medication.
Effective systems were established to oversee and monitor the quality of the service. Accidents, incidents and safeguarding concerns were regularly reviewed to promote safety and ensure appropriate action was taken when required. Both people using the service and staff were given opportunities to share their feedback. Feedback received reflected positive views about the overall management of the service.
