Updated 12 May 2025
Date of inspection: 15 May 2025 to 09 June 2025. Lifeline Agency Limited is a domiciliary care agency and provides personal care to people living in their own homes. CQC only inspects where people are receiving the regulated activity personal care. This is help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. At the time of this inspection 39 people were receiving support with personal care.
We found breaches of regulations in relation to notification of incidents and good governance. We found concerns in relation to the robustness of the governance systems and areas for improvement were identified at the last inspection. CQC had not been notified of abuse allegations as required as part of their registration. Quality monitoring systems and records needed to be strengthened to ensure any shortfalls would be identified promptly going forward. You can find more details of our concerns in the quality statement findings
Risks to people were not always managed effectively and did not always support staff to keep people safe. There were enough staff deployed to meet people's needs. However, we found multiple times staff had visited people late or people had their visits cut short. Staff were recruited safely and were provided with training which was mostly up to date. Staff told us they felt supported by the provider and were provided with supervisions and team meetings to share ideas.
We have asked the provider for an action plan in response to the concerns found at this assessment.
