Date of Assessment: 17 March 2026 to 14 April 2026.
The Limes Care Home is a residential care home without nursing. At the time of our assessment, 16 people were living at the service.
We inspected this service to check for improvement since our last inspection.
At our last inspection the provider was in breach of legal regulations in relation to governance, safeguarding and safe care and treatment. At this inspection we found enough improvement had been made and the provider was no longer in breach of the legal regulations.
Risks were now managed safely. Improvements had been made to the environmental safety in the service. People were supported to access healthcare when needed. Staff were kind and respectful and people generally felt comfortable when supported. Leadership had improved. Managers were more visible in the service and learning from past concerns was in place.
However, we found care plans were not always detailed or consistent for everyone. Care was sometimes task focused and people did not always receive enough meaningful interaction. Opportunities to promote independence was not always consistent. Improvements in governance systems were noted; however, these were still new and needed time to be embedded.
This service has been in Special Measures since 15 January 2026. The provider demonstrated improvements that have been made. The service is no longer rated as inadequate overall or in any of the key questions. Therefore, this service is no longer in Special Measures.
